Virginia Inez Holliday, age 92, of Smyrna, died February 17, 2017. She is survived by her sister, Lillian McCall and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished as her own. Virginia is preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Holliday and Richard Holliday, her twin. Born in Columbia, TN, Virginia became a dedicated Christian and spent her years fulfilling her greatest passion: teaching. Virginia taught as a Sunday school teacher and also in education, with a focus on early childhood education, mostly Kindergarten. Virginia earned her Master of Education degree and was a member of the Association of Childhood Education where she served as President of the local and district organizations. After 38 years of teaching, Virginia retired and relocated to Smyrna, GA where she lived with her sister for 25 years and later transitioned to Woodland Ridge Assisted Living facility. There, she received excellent care and enjoyed her remaining days surrounded in love by family and friends. Virginia will be remembered for many wonderful things, but mostly for her love of God and her family, and for the countless little ones she loved and taught throughout her lifetime.
