Ginny was born in Hartshorne, Ok. When she was a baby she moved with her family to Kentucky and at 8 years of age moved to Smyrna, GA where she would live most of her life. Virginia also lived in Sebring, Florida for a couple of years in her 20’s.
Ginny attended King Spring Baptist Church as a child and into her teenage years. It is here that she met her best life long friend, Beth. Ginny’s faith in Christ began as a child and as she experienced all of the ups and downs that life threw her way, she always knew that Christ was present in her life. She was grateful for her faith and believed that it was God’s presence that got her through life. In 2019, she joined Bible Study Fellowship where her faith was strengthened as she studied God’s word and made special friendships.
Ginny enjoyed reading, coloring, drawing, watching her favorite TV programs, playing Words with Friends & Scrabble, taking photos, & writing poetry. She loved the Beach and the Mountains where she was able to spend many vacations with her family over the years.
Ginny lived at Wisteria Place Apartments with her trusted canine companion, Jetson. She loved animals and was overjoyed to adopt Jetson in April of 2020. Jetson gave her great joy and she loved him dearly. Ginny loved her life at Wisteria Place Apartments. It was a warm and loving place that she called “home”. It was here that she made many friends with other residents and staff members.
Ginny loved and adored her family and valued her close friendships. She would give a stranger the shirt off her back without question and had great empathy and understanding for those around her.
Ginny is survived by her brothers, Clark Donald (Katarina Echt) McCall of Snellville, GA, Mark (Christina) McCall of Fernandina Beach, FL, Charles (Carrie) McCall of Smyrna, GA, several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Norene Holliday McCall and James Donald McCall.
