

Virginia Clements Tuttle of Marietta, Georgia, age 88, passed away April 24, 2015. She was born October 2, 1926 in Lee County, Alabama, the daughter of William Daniel Clements and wife Maggie Bell Clements. She was a member of the Church of God, Bells Ferry Road, Marietta, GA. A memorial service will be held at Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Marietta on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1 PM. She will be interred at Kennesaw Memorial Park with her deceased husband, Linton H. Tuttle and her daughter, Deborah Lechner. She is preceded in death by her brother, Dr. William J. Clements of Auburn, AL. Mrs. Tuttle is survived by her son, Daniel G. Walton of Woodstock; daughter, Laura E. Ransom of Woodstock; 8 grandchildren, Candice Walton, Danielle Walton, Tiffany Padolsky, Aprile Plummer, Natalie Hess, Alicia Dunton, Alisha Dunton and Justin L. Pettett; 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, R.G. Tuggle of Villa Rica and Annie Laura Whatley of Centreville, AL; 1 brother, Millard Lawrence Clements of Texarkana, AR; 7 nieces; 5 nephews and 15 grandnieces and nephews. Virginia and Linton Tuttle moved to Cobb County, GA in 1953 where they raised their three children. Virginia retired from Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in 1987 after working there as a secretary for 32 years. Through the years she has had many interesting hobbies. She and her husband both were members of the Lockheed Lapidary Club and the Southeastern Gem and Mineral Federation. She was a member of Kennesaw Chapter 241, United Daughters of the Confederacy; the Fielding Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; the General John Clarke chapter of the Daughters of the War of 1812; the Nicholas Wallingford chapter of Colonial Dames of the 17th Centure; the Manekien Colony of Virginia; Hugenot Society; and the Descendants of Charlemagne in America Society. When not involved in family research she enjoyed oil painting and traveling. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Nita McFarland Hall scholarship through the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Kennesaw Chapter 241, 280 Angla Drive SE, Smyrna, GA 30082-3637.
