It's been 5 months now, God I miss you more than anyone could imagine. You were such a wonderful caring father, always able to keep us all in line and made every one of us feel special. The best employer and most of all my friend and my go to person, my hero.Thank you for the beautiful life you gave us and the love that you taught us to appreciate. I just found out of this great mans passing.  Wayne has been a patient of mine for a long time and before that a patient of my fathers.  Wayne was a good man, and just a good person.  He was the type of guy who would brighten the room when he came in.  My sincere condolences to Ramona and the kids.  I know firsthand what a great father and husband he was.  Words can't adequately describe what a great man he was.  He will be missed.

I so wish I could attend Wayne's funeral and give you all a hug at this sad time.  The love and bond the Putnam family has I have so admired and I know the void is felt deeply in the family.  I posted this not long after finding out Wayne had passed away and it honestly says how I feel I decided to post it here for you too ... " With  heavy hearts we all say goodbye to Wayne Putnam the charismatic man who in every way WAS AmericasMart and Atlanta Market. The respect and love this amazing man commanded not only from his loving wife Ramona and children Sharon, David and Lance but his southeast customers, his peers, designers and manufacturers is something I can't even put into words. We will remember Mr. Putnam as a friend and a wonderful human being. Wayne made everyone felt appreciated and important. A man of integrity, distinction and kindness.  Wayne will make Heaven a better place.  Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

The world shines a little less brighter today with the loss of Wayne! His smile, kindness and laughter made everyone around him feel joy. My thoughts go out to his incredible family - that he was so proud of.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Ramona and the entire family. When I think of Wayne, I think of his smile and friendliness and how he was always so very nice to everyone in particular to my Mother and also to Aunt Tiny. I can hear him now bragging on Aunt Tiny and telling everyone how much he thought of her. I know that Wayne will be so missed by so many.

Such a sweet, good man. My heart aches for the Putnam family.  Know that we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.

My heart is breaking over the death of my dear friend and mentor.  Wayne, you were an inspiration to me and so many others.  You touched more lives than most; it is an honor and a joy to have had you as a friend.  It will be a while, but I look forward to my sadness being overtaken by my memories of happier days.

You will be missed so much by me and Gene, as well as all who knew you. A lot of good memories for all of us.   Our family trips toTugaloo State Park with Mama & Terry (Milam) in the 2 bedroom cottage (all the fun, food and injuries)  Casino trips, Florida, Easter egg hunts at Grandmother Milam's, flea markets, day trips to where ever the road led us, birth of our babies and grandchildren.
