William “Danny” Brown, age 75 of Smyrna, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. Born in Atlanta to J.T. and Peggy Brown in 1950, Danny stayed local and worked for most of his life as a builder, and worked as a security guard in his retirement.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, brother J.B. Brown, sisters Marilyn and Anna Brown, and his beloved Mother-in-law, Mattie Stone, for whom he cared for many years.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 55 years, Melody Brown (nee Stone), his daughter Tiffany Childers (Billy), and granddaughter Wynn Childers. He is also survived by his nieces and their families, who Danny cherished as his own: Terri and Lin Fullwood and their sons Jake and Travis, and Sheryl and Ken Davenport and their son Mason.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 7, 2026, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Larry Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
