Mr. Alexander Loo, 92, entered into rest on Friday, Nov 8, 2019.

A lifelong resident of Augusta, Alexander was born in San Francisco, CA and was relocated when he was one year old. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 2, became a small business owner and later worked for the Board of Education Transportation Department for more than 23 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta for 82 years. He was a very active and dedicated F & A Mason and member of Social Lodge No.1 since 1965. He was later coronated 33rd degree in 1991. Mc Michael Award 1988, 1998, 2014, Worshipful Master - Social Lodge No.1. 1989, 1990, Coronated 33rd Degree 1991, Supreme Royal Patron, Supreme Council, Order of the Amaranth International 1992-1993, Supreme Trustee, Supreme Council, Order of the Amaranth International 1993 to 2001, Tenth District Worshipful Master 1996, Legion of Honor Merit Award 1974 Alee Temple, Ralph N. Studdard Award - Scottish Rite, President, National Sojourners Clarence Cohen Chapter 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, Grand Cross of Colors Award, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Knights Commander of the Temple Award2000, Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Georgia Award 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, Legion of Honor - International Supreme Council of DeMolay 2002, Board of Trustees - Scottish Rite 2001 -2013, Board of Trustees - Scottish Rite 2001- 2013, Board of Trustees - Masonic Temple 1997-2007, Board of Directors - Georgia Diabetes Research Foundation, Inc. 2004, Executive Board - Augusta Chapter Order of DeMolay 2003- 2013, Alton Rogers Award 2005, Athelstan Nobility Jewel - Red Cross of Constantine 2007, Grand York Rite Bodies of Georgia 2007, Cryptic Mason of the Year Award 2008, Knights Double Eagle Award 2012, 2013, Red Branch of Erie Award 2012, 50 year Scottish Rite Award 2016, 50 year Shriners Award 2016 and 50 year Social Lodge Award 2016, and National President of Sons of Spanish American War Veterans 1989.

Survivors include his wife of more than 67 years Belinda, daughter, Alexis Sandria and son, Michael Thomas (Jean Lemmon). He is preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Minnie Loo, two sisters, Dorothy and Constance, and a younger brother, Herbert.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM and from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907 (706)-868-9637. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 16 at 11:00 AM at the Scottish Rite Temple, 2553 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30904. (706)-733-5387. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
