Aileen Bise "Tots" Turney

Aileen Bise “Tots” Turney, 79, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Smyth County, Virginia on September 8, 1933 to Samuel Floyd Bise and Ollie King Bise. She retired from Bassett-Walker and attended Day Star Ministries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Eldridge Turney; a son, William Franklin Turney, granddaughter, Beverly S. Jones; grandson, Allen Kirk; sisters, Dorothy Patton, Shelba Widner, Kathleen Vaughan and Elizabeth Anne Lane; sons-in-law, Frankie Stump and Donald Travis; brother-in-law, Everette Faulkner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther and Mozelle King, Joanne and Bill Dennis, Billy and Polly Turney, Bill Ward and Boyce Dean.

Surviving are four daughters, Barbara “Jeannie” (Ray) Guill of Danville, Sandra K. “Sandy” Turney of Martinsville, Sharon T. (Keith) Clark of Collinsville and Laura T. (Ronnie) Hopkins of Ridgeway; sisters, Mary Bond of Woodlawn, VA, Margaret Vance, Evelyn Shupe, Linda Faulkner and Rita Hines, all of Fries, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary K. Dean, Ruby Ward, Nancy and Donald Frazier, Bobby and Charlotte Turney; four grandchildren, Chris Turney, Ashley Clark, Shannon Clark and Jeffery Turney; six great-grandchildren, Kayla Clark, Blake Clark, Mekenna Turney, Christopher Turney, Taylor Kirk and Hannah Kirk.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11 AM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with Pastor Sammy Caldwell and Rev. David Deisher officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
