OBITUARY
Anastasia Sofolarides Basha
April 2, 1935 – December 30, 2012
Anastasia “Stacy” Basha, 77, of Spruce Street in Martinsville, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Queens, NY on April 2, 1935 to George and Helen Caplanson Sofolarides, both deceased. She was a graduate of PS 14 High School in Queens, NY and also Queens College. She was a member of AHEPA in New York and Fontaine Ruritan Club in Ridgeway. At one time, Stacy and her late husband owned and operated Basha’s Restaurant in Ridgeway and she was also employed by Henry County and Martinsville City school systems prior to her retirement. She was a devout Christian of the Greek Orthodox faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis B. Basha; a son, Murray Basha and a brother, John Sofolarides.
Surviving are two daughters, Victoria Basha Terrell of Cascade and Barbara Basha Arthur of Martinsville; one son, Nicholas Basha of Martinsville; six grandchildren, George Terrell, Elaina Terrell, Nicole Arthur, Anna Arthur, Michael Arthur and Steven Arthur.
The funeral service will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Christ Episcopal Church in Martinsville. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville and other times at the residence on Spruce Street.

The bond that you and I had was unique, irreplaceable, and not comparable by any others. We shared a childhood an adult companionship,and a very loving relationship with our families. I will miss you, but we will meet again. Rest in peace and may God bless your soul.
