In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Benjamin Oakley; granddaughter, Brynn Lee Vernon; and brother-in-law, George W. Hundley, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia Vernon; grandson, David Bradley Vernon; great granddaughter, Nataly G. Oliver; sister, Dorothy R. Hundley; brother, Doug Riddle and sister-in-law, Lewis S. Riddle.
Mrs. Oakley worked as the secretary at Riddle Olds, Cadillac and Honda car dealership for over 25 years.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
