Anne W. Boswell

Anne Wyatt Winn Boswell, 100, of King’s Grant Retirement Community in Martinsville, died Tuesday July 26, 2011 at King’s Grant. She was born in Henry County on July 2, 1911 to Carr Massey Wyatt and Elizabeth Hensley Wyatt. She was a life-long resident of Martinsville and was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, J. Muscoe Winn and second husband, Wilton Boswell; her son, Benjamin C. Winn; two sisters, Pauline W. May and Jessie Lee Wyatt. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Ann Winn of Martinsville; grandson, Benjamin C. Winn, Jr. of Reston, VA; step-children, J. M. Winn of Christiansburg, Margaret Kellam of Martinsville, Ruth Winn Blackard of Roanoke and Elizabeth “Libby” Shipe of Salem. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Martinsville Chapel of Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. David Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
