Betty Ramey Odell Simms

Betty Jane Ramey Simms, 81, of Ridgeway, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born in Franklin County, July 29, 1934 to Lemley and Sylvia Scott Odell. She retired from Sale Knitting and attended Smith Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by three sons, Bruce L. Ramey and wife, Mary Lou of Ridgeway, Jackie B. Ramey of Ridgeway, Richard C. “Rick” Ramey and fiancee, Leslie Riddle of Ridgeway ; grandchildren, Michelle R. Roddy and husband, Michael, Christopher B. Ramey and wife, Tori and Logan C. Ramey; great-grandson, Maddox Roddy.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with Pastor Barry Crumpton officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Rick Ramey in Ridgeway.

Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway.

The family extends very special thanks to Blue Ridge Manor and Blue Ridge Rehab Center for the wonderful care and many acts of kindness shown to their mother.
