

Dudley Edward Fulcher, 84, of 276 Moore’s Mill Road in Ridgeway, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Martinsville on January 26, 1926, to Eddie E. and Bessie Collins Fulcher. He served in the Navy and Army and was involved in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Army after 21 years of service where he gained the rank of Sergeant First Class.
After his military career, he retired from V.C. Supply Company where he was the supply manager. He was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church where he was also a member of the Men’s Sunday school class.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alma H. Fulcher; his step-mother, Ruby Hubbard Fulcher; two sisters, Treva F. Belton and Maghaline F. Wright; three brothers, Claby, Billie and Ralph Fulcher.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl F. and Meredith Muscatello of Ridgeway, Lisa F. and Gerald Harbour of Martinsville; one sister, Norma Jean Hodges of Sandy Ridge, NC; one brother, H. G. Fulcher of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, Kristen Muscatello, Corey Thompson and Madison Harbour; three step-grandchildren, Justin, Joshua and Jordan Harbour; and his mother-in-law, Gertrude B. Hodges of Martinsville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Horsepasture Christian Church with Minister Dave Cuthbertson officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel and other times at the residence.
