

Born December 4th, 1952, Beth graduated from Lynchburg College and lived and worked in Lynchburg, VA for the majority of her life. She retired as a Supervisor of the Arts Program in the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Lynchburg.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Irma Wright Ford and the Honorable J. English Ford of Martinsville, Virginia.
Ms. Ford is survived by her brother and sister in-law, John E. Ford, II and his wife, Kim, her stepmother Jane R. Ford, her father's brother, James H. Ford and his wife, Sandra, niece Jamie Lee Burkhead, nephew Brandon Ford, all of Martinsville, Va. Also surviving are first cousins Margaret Gregory and her husband, Carlyle of Falls Church, Va., and Martin Ford and his wife, Cindy of Augusta, Ga.
People who had the privilege of knowing Beth will tell you she always put her friends and families' needs above her own. She loved a good prank and always found ways to bring the best out of people through her actions and generous love for others.
Beth expressed her desire to thank Dr. John MacNeill and staff at Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center for their care and kindness, and called them “truly angels among us”.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Martinsville, Va. Saturday June 13th, at 2pm with close friend and retired Pastor Monty Fox, from Keystone Baptist Church in Lynchburg, officiating and Rev. Mark Hinchcliff, pastor of First Presbyterian Church assisting.
The family will receive friends at a reception at the church immediately following the service.
