Elizabeth Cowan Marshall

Elizabeth Cowan Marshall, 92, of Martinsville, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart. She was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on April 8, 1921 to Arthur Thomas and Alice Stanley Trent Cowan. Mrs. Marshall was a graduate of Martinsville High School and retired from DuPont after 38 years of service. She was a charter member of Calvary Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Marshall, Jr.; a brother, A. E. (Barney) Cowan.

Surviving are two children, Patricia Marshall Leader of Great Falls, VA and Thomas E. Marshall of Martinsville and a granddaughter, Allison Elizabeth Leader of Great Falls.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11 AM at Calvary Christian Church with the Rev. Mike Carrow officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Abbey.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
