He is survived by his wife; Michelle Dove, step-son; Cody Hill, special son; Logan Poff, sister; Cathy Scott Ring and husband Lennie of Bermuda Run, North Carolina, brother; Ricky Dove of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Ernie was a member of the First Assembly of God. He also was a long time employee of Advance Auto Parts.
The funeral service will be held Monday, September 5, 2016, at 2 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home Chapel, Martinsville, Virginia with Reverend Joe Nunley officiating. Interment will be held at Dove Family Cemetery off Dyers Store Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at McKee-Stone at other times at the home and his mother’s home.
