

Francis Kendall Martin, 68, of Martinsville, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Anson County, NC, June 23, 1941 to Glenn Kendall Martin and Sara Broadaway Martin. He attended Wake Forest for 2 years and graduated from Western Carolina. He was employed by DuPont for 30 years and was co-founder of Amfibe, where he was vice-president prior to retirement. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Kendall is survived by his wife, Mary Hendley Martin of the residence; one daughter, Meredith Lynn Adcock and husband, Tony of Danville; one son, Kendall Eugene ”Gene” Martin and wife, Joanna of Martinsville; one brother, William G. Martin and wife Annette of Wadesboro, NC; four grandchildren, Sarah Taylor Adcock, Kathryn Kendall Adcock, Nathan West Martin and Nicholas Kendall Martin.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Martinsville Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 2:00 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Ron Mateer officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
