To the family:

I am saddened to learn the news of Pete’s passing. He was a true sportsman who had the interest of his players at heart. I spent many happy summer afteroons at MHS when Pete supervised the tennis courts. He helped me in many ways, and it was always a pleasure to run into him in later years.

My family and I have known Pete at least 55 years. Pete was like a brother to me and a son to my Father.

So many times I would come home and Pete would be there having martinis with my Father whose nick name was also Pete. So, it was common when a date picked me up or brought me home that Pete and Pete would be sitting in the family room enjoying a movie and talking over cocktails.

In 1974, Pete's Mother passed away two weeks before my Father passed. Both of those losses brought us closer as true brother and sister.

Barbara, his wife, was the most wonderful person to walk into Pete's life and marrying her was the greatest event of his life. He loved and respected her so much. I was grateful Barbara accepted me with love and compassion. She has always had the ability to know what was best for Pete which she unselfishly proved time and time again. THANK YOU SO MUCH...!!!

I love you Pete. I love you Barbara. I will forever think of you both and be here for you, Barbara.

Forever & Ever,

We are going to miss “Old Pete” as Reeves used to call him.... always in the yard, walking the dog, tending to the cats. He was also so good about helping with Alli-Kat when we were away! Prayers of comfort to Barbara and the rest of the family! I know Buddy and Nila will miss him as well!
