Pastor Hubert Luster Harris

.Pastor Hubert Luster Harris, 79, of Axton, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Ridgeway. He was born in Washington County, Virginia, July 18, 1936 to Thomas and Nellie Lawson Harris. He was self-employed as a minister and pastor, traveling to many different churches around the country.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Richard, Harvey, James, Bobby and Donnie Harris.

Surviving are three daughters, Cathy Gallegos, Deborah Roybal and Sheila Mattingly; four sons, Kenneth, Benjamin, Joseph, and Joshua Harris; three sisters, Betty Severt, Helen Jones and Eulavene “Jinky” Justice; two brothers, Bill and Charlie Harris; grandchildren, Eric, Sheldon, Matthew, Alisha, Brett, Dawn, April, Jessica, Kenneth, Jr., Ronnie, Jr., Vanessa, Joanna, Abigail, Elijah, Acharya, Andrew, Keenan, Nathan, Aaron and Jeremiah; great-grandchildren, Ian, Desmond, Zaylee, Nathan, Jasmine, Emery and Thomas.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with burial in the Harris Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home of Cathy Gallegos, 420 Poteat Drive, Ridgeway, VA 24148.
