

Jack Nathan Lewis, Sr., 84, of Fieldale, died Saturday, February 19, 2010 at Stanleytown Health Care. He was born in Mt Airy, NC, on March 21, 1925 to the late Nathanial Ray Lewis and Viola Mae Patterson Lewis. He was retired after more than 30 years as the Sales Manager for Stultz-Townes Furniture Co. He served in the United States Army Air Core during WWII, was a member of the Fieldale Baptist Church, VFW, and in early years a member of the Kiwanis Club and Rotary Club. He was also an avid musician in which he played clarinet in several bands.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jane Stultz Lewis.
He is survived by two daughters, Jane Rhea Douglas of Roanoke and Kitty Kim Lewis of Miami Springs, FL; one son, Jack Nathan “Nat” Lewis, Jr. of Palmetto Bay, FL, one brother, Joseph S. Lewis of Stoneville, NC, three grandchildren, Jessica Rhea Lewis, Natalie Alexandra Lewis and Tristan Jared Lewis.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the chapel of Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with Reverend Richard Harrison officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the Martinsville Chapel of Collins-McKee-Stone. Memorials may be made to Fieldale Baptist Church or Fieldale Community Center
