Joe Cephus Richards

Joe Cephus Richards, 76, of Martinsville passed away on January 23, 2019. He was born to the late Charlie and Mary Holt Richards. He was also predeceased by his daughter; Betsy Shields and brother; Jake Richards. Mr. Richards was a 1962 graduate from Meadows of Dan High School. He was a lineman and home installment technician for 40 years. He began with Lee Telephone Company through Sprint.

Mr. Richards is survived by his wife; Marjorie Epling Richards, daughters; Rhonda Shelton, Becky Cox (Garry), son; Patrick Stanley (Laura), brother; Pete King (Nona), sister; June Allen (Mark), three grandchildren and, one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at McKee Stone Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home with Reverend Lewis Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ridgeway, 15 Church St, Ridgeway, VA 24148
