Kenneth Owen Barton
September 5, 1949 – July 12, 2013
Kenneth Owen Barton, 63, of 5000 Stoney Mountain Road in Martinsville, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born in South Boston, Virginia to Edgar Monroe Barton and Myrtle Cleo Jordan Barton, both deceased. He had worked for Tultex and retired from ETOYS. He attended County Line Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Wright Barton of the residence; one daughter, Patricia Kaye Barton of Martinsville, one grandson, Philip Anthony Barton of Martinsville; one great-granddaughter, Lily Ann Barton of Martinsville; one sister, Vicky Ann Farley of Pinnacle, NC; four brothers, Edgar W. (Eddie) Barton of Danville, Ronnie Lee Barton of Rural Hall, NC, Stanley Monroe Barton of Winston Salem, NC and Raymond Barton of Kernersville, NC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville and other times at the residence.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM immediately following the visitation Tuesday at McKee-Stone Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Jordan and Minister Dean Ashby officiating. To express condolences on line, please visit www.collinsmckeestonemartinsville.com.
