I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Ken's family, friends and colleagues, I am deeply saddened by his passing. I met Ken when he was appointed MD of British Cellophane Ltd (aka Courtaulds Films). I was a member of the management team at the Barrow in Furness site until closure in 1991. I remember Ken's visits to Barrow vividly and, in particular, the way he used his mischievous humour to great effect to put people at ease.
He was a master of his craft, a straight talker and a thoroughly nice man. It was an honour and a pleasure to have known him and I will never forget him.

Ken will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a kind and caring person with a great sense of humor.
As soon as he walked into the the club, everyone's attention turned to him. He made us smile. We were always rooting for him and hoping the best. He always made the best of a bad situation. He was a friend to all who met him and he never met a stranger.
From Chatmoss Country Club we send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
