In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother-in-law L.D. Oakes.
He is survived by his sisters, Retha Robertson Oakes and Jackie Johnson Palmer (Larry) and his brother Clarence Douglas “Doug” Robertson (Trenda); also many beloved nieces and nephews.
Larry had a very strong work ethic and retired from having worked many different jobs.
He was a devoted Christian and a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church.
Larry loved his family, cooking outside, playing his guitar and singing hymns. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was a big Jeff Gordon fan.
The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
