Lula Williams Jackson

Lula Williams Jackson, 83, of Martinsville, VA, passed away at home on Saturday, November 17, 2018. She was born on October 28, 1935 in Russell County, VA to the late Marion Preston Settle and Anna Louise Jones Settle. She was the wife of the late Stonewall Jackson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Nell Lester, Jean Mutter, and Shirley Hess; and four brothers, Glenn Settle, Kyle Settle, Benny Settle, and Marvin Settle. Lula is survived by two sons, Keith Jackson (Lisa), and James “JP” Pat McCrosson (Chele); four grandchildren, Beth McCrosson, Wendy McCrosson, Wyatt Jackson, and Morgan Jackson; two sisters, Dot Sword, and Mary Elliott; and a brother, Clyde Settle. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home (109 Broad Street, Martinsville). The funeral will follow in the McKee-Stone chapel at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. A private burial service will be held on Wednesday, November 21st.
