Mary Elizabeth Tuggle Gerlaugh, 86, of 1518 Grandview Road in Martinsville, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Martinsville on July 3, 1923 to Aubrey Lee Tuggle and Kate Lucille Wheatley Tuggle. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Martinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gerlaugh, Jr. and a sister, K. T. Byrd.
She is survived by a daughter, Beth Adkins of Martinsville and a son, Aubrey Gerlaugh of Marietta, GA; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hearp officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone, Martinsville Chapel.
