I have known Mickey since early 2000 as a Bank Branch Manager
Mickey 's large sence of humor and smile was noticed the minute he walked into our lobby. we would talk a little politics, maybe vehicle issues, telling us about his fall trip to Tennessee to Christmas tree Hotel with Rose. He loved doing his Kenny Rogers inpression it was always funny. I would always introduce him as a former Professional baseball player to anyone in the lobby at that time. He liked that as did I. for I never known one. and this guy was my customer as well as my friend. He will always be remembered I never knew he served our country.
a strong proud man that loved life God Bless you Sir

I enjoyed having Mickey as my neighbor many years ago. He spend special time with one of my girls and she remembers it. Many times when he would meet me somewhere he would greet me in German. I sure enjoyed knowing him! HEIDI

I worked with Life of Virginia for a lot of the same years Mickey did. We became very good friends even though he worked in the Winston Salem agency and I worked in the Gaffney S.C. Agency. He came to Gaffney 3 years in a row back in the early 1980โ€™s to play in the member guest at The Gaffney Country Club with me. We won the tournament in 1982. He was a good man and a good friend. I was sad to read of his death,
