Patricia A Engstrom

Patricia A. Engstrom, 73, of Collinsville, Virginia, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County. She was born on October 17, 1941 in Wattsburg, Pennsylvania to Grover Johnson and Lena Wyman Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Step-Mother, Bonnie Johnson.

Patty was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church of Collinsville where she was a member of Methodist Women Circle 2. She was a 1959 graduate of Wattsburg Area High School and Erie Commercial College. She was a member of Laureate Alpha Gamma - Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 55 years. She had volunteered for Relay of Life. While her sons were in school, she was an active Band Booster Parent and was active in the Fieldale-Collinsville High School Afterprom. Patty worked for many years as a substitute teacher with Henry County School Systems and last worked in the office for Finney Building Supply.

Surviving are her husband, John Hubbard Engstrom of the home, two sons, Jay Engstrom and his wife, Whitney of Martinsville, Brant Engstrom and his wife, Nichole of Salem, MA, one sister, Judy Hummerich and her husband, Dave of San Diego, CA, two brothers, Ronald Johnson and his wife, Sandy, Kiantone, NY and Norman Johnson of Michigan and four grandchildren, Eric, Sydney, Tommy, and Peyton Engstrom.

The Memorial Service will be held, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Bob Edwards and Reverend Cameron Wilde officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
