Pauline Handy Grady, 87, formerly of Martinsville, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, in Atlanta, GA. She was born in Patrick County, January 14, 1926 to G. C. and Ethel Rodgers Handy. She retired from Pannill Knitting (Sara Lee) and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Grady and her brother, George Bruce Handy.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Grady and wife, Paula of Marietta, GA and Brent Grady of Martinsville; one sister, Vera Golden; two brothers, Leon and Glenn Handy; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. George Hearn officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville.
