She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Julia Pagans; twin brother, Richard Pagans; and brothers, Alfred Pagans, Grady Pagans, and Grover Pagans.
Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Samuel A. “Pete” Pearman; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Cliff Taylor; son, Allen Pearman; grandson, Robert Brian Purdy and wife Megan, and her great granddaughter, Carmen Alexandria Purdy, whom she cherished dearly. Also surviving is one sister, Marie Perdue and brothers, Russell Pagans, Wayne Pagans and wife Lorraine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rachel retired from E.I. DuPont with 34 years of service and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will forever be missed by her family and friends.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 2:00 PM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with Brother David Naff officiating. Interment will be held at Roselawn Burial Park.
