Rick Larue Holt

Rick Larue Holt, 62, of 61 Venna Avenue, Martinsville, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born on September 16, 1947 in Henry County, to Harold Edwin and Lorene Dancy Holt, both deceased.

He was a 1966 graduate of Drewry Mason High School and was a member of Kearfott Memorial Baptist Church. Rick retired from the Air Force after 20 years service where he served during the Vietnam War. Currently, he was employed by Nautica in Martinsville. He was a Shriner and was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen Carey Holt of the residence; one daughter, Jeanette Blankenship of Suffolk; one son, Timothy Holt of the residence; one sister, Janet Holt of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Jacob and Haley Blankenship.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. George Hearn officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
