Ruby Lewis Booker

Ruby was one of nine children and she lived an extraordinary life, remaining independent and caring for herself until two weeks prior to her death. She will be missed by many friends, neighbors and family that enjoyed her sense of humor, stories of days of old and pearls of wisdom.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sandy Clay Booker; daughter, Deloris Bottoms; grandson, Robbin Clay Bottoms and special friend, Mr. Hancock.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Donna Wilkie of Leavenworth, Kansas; great grandchildren, Darla Saegers of Leavenworth Kansas, Jacob Bottoms and Christine Bottoms, both of Ocean Isle, North Carolina; sister, Marie Lewis Hooker Judson; nieces, nephews and special friends, Margaret Shelton, Lucille Finney and Harry Hairston.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with Reverend Susan Spangenberg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
