Ruth Clarke Reynolds

Ruth Clarke Reynolds, 92, formerly of Roanoke, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Stanleytown Health Care Center where she was a resident. She was born in Henry County on January 18, 1918 to Thomas Joseph and Nell Troutt Clarke. During her earlier years, she also spent time in Craig County, where she graduated from Maywood High School. She was a member of Calvary Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Reynolds and a son, Joseph O. Reynolds.

She is survived by a son, Warren M. Reynolds of North Bergen, NJ; two sisters, June C. Thorpe of Fairfax and Patsy (Pat) Clarke of Martinsville; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Homes, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. Mike Carrow and the Rev. Ben Barbour officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M., prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at the Ross Cemetery in Craig County at a later date.
