I never got to meet Mrs. Bradshaw but I heard such wonderful things about her. Mr. Bradshaw I met through my son being on the HPFD a few years ago. Mr. Bradshaw would always speak to me almost every morning @ The Old Country Store where he got his cup of coffee. He was so well manner and extremely nice to everyone he met. RIP Mr. and Mrs. Bradshaw. You both will be missed.

I am deeply touched by the loss of my distant cousin and her wonderful husband...….I know Sherri and Charley were a joy to spend time with.....
.We used to stop at the Gordon household on our trips from Pittsburgh, Pa. to the South back in the 50's and early 60's before moving to California.. ....those stops were always a joy ……...I loved those times and Sherri was a large part of that...……
We share our heartfelt sympathies to all the members of their family...……

Lovingly remembered, Phil and Deb Anderson

My heart goes out to the families, friends, Horsepasture Fire Department and the community of Horsepature. Anyone that knew Charlie will agree he was a very kind and loving person. He always put Christ and his family first and the family of the Horsepasture Fire Department. Charlie was the same person no matter where you saw him.

My brother is a good friend of Charlie's and I know that he was always a great friend to him. Charlie was the type of person, he was there when you needed him. Almost 13 years ago my brother and I lost our father to a fire. Charlie was there for all of us, not just my brother.

Sherry was a wonderful person to share her husband with the rest of the community and county.

To The Family Of Charlie Bradshaw, Paul and I were so sorry to hear about this happening. I can remember when my sister and I were little that we went to Charlie's mom and dads home and cooked out steaks and then played pool. Aubrey and my dad met at Appalachian Power. They were the best of friends. Those were the good ole days. Charlie was also a good friend of Paul. They met in 1970 working together in the Fieldale Rescue Squad and the fire department. We only had one rescue vehicle. In later years I continued to know him as a police officer (CAR 54). Paul always joked with him about car 54 where are you! Charlie, we know where you are at now with Sherri, Aubrey and Nancy (your mom and dad), and John (your brother). The gates were wide open and the Lords hand was extended out to you welcoming you and Sherri into his kingdom. Our prayer is that this will comfort your family. Rest in peace! You will always be remembered. Love Always, Paul and Jackie Horsley, Collinsville, Va.

I was so shocked to hear the news of Sherri and her husband passing away. I went to high school with Sherri and remember her as one of the sweetest friends that I had. Lots of hugs and prayers going out to her love ones and her many friends.

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Sherri and Charlie’s passing. Sherri was not only a wonderful and dedicated nurse, she was a friend to me and everyone she worked with. She came to work everyday with a smile on her face and all of our patients loved her. We know she and Charlie are in Heaven together, and that gives our sad hearts peace.
