Shirley H Hodges

Born in Henry County August 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John F. Hartis and Maude Lester Hartis. Also preceding her in death were two brothers Frank and Bill Hartis.

Shirley retired from Fieldcrest Mills after thirty years of service and was a member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband J. B. Hodges, a daughter Wanda J. McKinnis and her husband Chuck of Roanoke, a son Dr. LaMance Joyce of Whitestone, two step-sons Tim Hodges and Richard Hodges both of Fieldale, a sister Hilda H. Hall and her husband Morris of Shallotte, NC, and four grandchildren, Eric Hodges, Amanda Barker and her husband Josh, Allison Joyce and Erin Joyce.

The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, July 10, 2014, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville with Minister Lawrence Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 to noon prior to the service.
