

Thelma Seay Love, 83, formerly of Collinsville, went to be home with her Lord Jesus on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center, Stuart. She was born at Oak Level on July 18, 1931 to Johnnie Mathew Seay and Lou Etta Austin Seay. Thelma was retired from Tultex with twenty-five years of service and had worked previously for H & R Block. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville for fifty-four years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Young and Temple Marie Seay and her brother, John Edwin Seay.
Surviving are her daughters, Sherry Philpott and her husband, Gerry of Johnson City, TN, Mary Lou Manuel and her husband, Harry of Reidsville, NC , Karen Turney and her husband, Tony of Ridgeway and her son, Timothy “Tim” Love and his wife, Debbie of Martinsville, her sister, Ruby Stratton and her husband, Everett of Danville, her sister-in-law, Kay Seay of Rocky Mount, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Minister Mark Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in the Seay Family Cemetery in the Oak Level Community. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
