Tyler Keith Cassell

Tyler Keith Cassell, 17 of Martinsville, died Saturday, December 10, 2011 in an automobile accident in Charles City County, Virginia. He attended school in Martinsville and Magna Vista and was employed by McDonalds on 220 South. He was an avid surfer and skater.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, John W. and Kim Cassell of 716 Craig Street in Martinsville; his mother, Beverly Hopkins Scida of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Brandon Stallard of Virginia Beach and Brock Cassell of Martinsville; one sister, Ashton Cassell of Martinsville; and his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Tommy Glenn of Martinsville.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dwight and Frances Hopkins and his paternal grandfather, Paul Cassell.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Rich Acres Christian Church with Pastor Tim Hunt and Rev. Paul Moorefield officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Rich Acres Christian Church and other times at his father’s residence in Martinsville.
