Anne Thomas

She was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, to Vincent and Elsie Ciambella. Anne married the love of her life, Charles D. Thomas, Jr., in Detroit in 1955. They shared 70 years of marriage until his passing in 2025.

Anne worked as a bookkeeper for more than 30 years before retiring. She was a loving, caring, and generous woman who cherished her family and took great pride in being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, garage sales, and costume jewelry, and loved Miss Piggy and all things Disney.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Mark); grandchildren, Chelsea (Jake) and Nicole (Doug); and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Isaac.

In addition to her husband, Charles, Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Elsie Ciambella; and her siblings, Gertrude, Anthony, and Yolanda.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Henry Ford Hospice Home and care staff for the compassionate care and kindness they provided to Anne and her family.

A committal service for Anne will be held on September 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 W Dickman Rd., Augusta, MI 49012.
