Beverly Joan Wilson

Jesus took Beverly to heaven to be with him on 9/18/26. Beverly was born in Lansing, MI, on September 8, 1932, to George and Nellie (Simmons) Squires. She graduated from JW Sexton High School in January 1951. After graduating, Beverly worked at Lansing Dairy Co. for 6 months, then at the Sears Auditing department for 25 years, as well as at the Lansing City Rescue Mission for 10 years. She was also an active member of Highland Woodview in Lakeland, FL, as well as Lansing First Church of the Nazarene. In 1967, Beverly married Carroll Nichols, who passed away 6 weeks later. In 1975, she married Lavan Wilson and had many wonderful years together, living in Lakeland, FL, and Lansing, MI until Lavan passed away in 2015. Beverly loved music, reading, playing Skipbo1968 and Hand & Foot, traveling, and daily walks with her friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother Fred Squires, sisters Marguerite Beebe, Dorothy Kissee, stepdaughter Nancy Dodes, stepson Douglas Wilson, niece Joyce Wilson, nephews Fred Squires Jr. and Dennis Squires. Beverly is survived by nieces Gloria Jean (George) Mora, Sandy Ramsey, nephews Douglas (Connie) Squires, Ron Kissee, Randy (Tammy) Kissee, step grandson Anthoney (Aimee) Wilson, step-granddaughter Valerie (Eric) Cochrane, step-great-grandchildren Cameron and Brendan Wilson, Morgan, Issac and Sydney Cochrane, as well as many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Beverly’s request, she will be cremated and buried next to her husband, Lavan, at Delta Center Cemetery.
