

Bruce served in the United States Navy on the “Kiddie Cruise” program which allowed him to sign up at age 17 and serve through his 21st birthday. He trained and served on the first supercarrier in the US fleet. Bruce engaged in training and patrol on the USS Forrestal in the Mediterranean Sea.
On March 20, 1959, Bruce married his high school sweetheart, Annette Feikema at her parent’s home while on a weekend leave. Together, they had three daughters and were married 66 adventurous years. They made a home in Lansing where Bruce became a master electrician and worked at Lansing Electric Motors, General Motors and then created his own electrical business named B-Electric upon retirement.
Bruce was an avid fisherman, snowmobiler, hunting enthusiast, gardener, vintage car buff, world traveler and jack-of-all trades repairman. Bruce was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and quite recently, great-grandfather.
Beloved husband of Annette; loving father of Deb (the late Jon) Thocker, Caryn (Bill) Wolf, Linda (Dave) Kircher; adored grandfather of Emily (Blake), Alex (Molly), Matthew, Haley, Bruce, Georgia (Nate); great-grandfather of Jackson; cherished brother of the late Norman (Connie) Giddings, Jack (Jackie) Giddings, and Sue (Bill) Walker.
Visitation for Bruce will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 621 S Jefferson St, Mason, Michigan. A prayer service following at 3 pm. A private funeral and burial will take place with the immediate family at a later date.
