Carl Floyd Sisco, 81, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on June 7, 2026. Born November 3, 1944, Carl was the son of Wilbur V. Sisco and Dorothy L. Bailey. From an early age, he learned the value of steady effort and simple responsibility, working alongside his father on the family’s small crop farm, making trips to the pickle factory in Eaton Rapids, and lending a hand to local farmers when help was needed.
A hardworking man throughout his life, Carl devoted 30 years as a skilled worker at General Motors. Even after that long career, he continued to work—spending 8 years at Walmart and 9 years at Dollar General—always showing up with the same dependable spirit. In the everyday ways that matter most, Carl also gave freely of his time, routinely helping friends with daily yard maintenance and offering support whenever needed.
Carl found joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting with his dad, and he especially enjoyed time spent visiting relatives in Barryton, Flint, and Remus, Michigan. Whether outdoors in nature or behind the wheel of a tractor, Carl was most at ease in the places that felt honest, familiar, and grounded.
Carl will be remembered for his kindness, love, and willingness to help anyone in need. He carried a beautiful spirit and loved his family deeply—qualities that were evident not in grand gestures, but in the steady care he showed and the loyalty he lived by.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur (Bill) and Dorothy Sisco; and his brothers, Wilbur (Bill) Sisco Jr. and Leroy (Roy) Sisco. He is survived by his loving sister, Lillian (Randy) Cordell; sister-in-law and friend, Linda Sisco; nephews, Tom (Kris) Whipple, Shon (Lara) Sisco, and Ryan (Christy) Sisco; nieces, Missy (Curtis) Kenyon and Shelly (Luke) Flory; very special grandniece, Emily; his daughter, Semora Kludy; his very special granddaughter, Willow Kludy; and his loving pet companion, Joe.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to those who stood by Carl with practical care and faithful presence: kudos to Carl Kludy for his willingness to help Carl when in need; to Tom Whipple for his constant work on various vehicles; and to Luke Flory for working on his vehicles and his home. A special thank you is also offered to the ICAL for their care with Carl, with particular gratitude to Andrea and Grace.
A graveside service will be held on June 19, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Dimondale Cemetery, Dimondale, MI 48821.
