Charla R. Brown

On May 10, 2022, Charla Rae Brown of Mason, MI, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Charla was born on May 23, 1944, in Morris, IL, to Everett and Wenonah (Laabs) Myers. She was a graduate of Eastern High School class of 1963. She also married the love of her life that year, Harold “Bud” R. Brown in August, which would have made their 59th anniversary this year. Charla was involved for over 20 years with the 4-H program and the Ingham County Fair as leader and volunteer; she was a PTA school room mom, a wonderful band booster parent and always proud of it. She worked as a part-time employee with Felpausch grocery store for five years, but most of all Charla was always proud to be the best devoted mother and homemaker she could be. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold R. “Bud” Brown, her daughter, Lynnette Brown-Perry, son-in-law, Bob Perry and her son, David Brown, and a very special friend, Kathy Shaw, and many other loving family and friends. Funeral Service will occur Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 12PM, at 621 South Jefferson, Mason, MI 48854 with visitation one hour prior. A visitation for Charla will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes - Mason Chapel.
