Connie always over excelled in many areas, like her last weeks of her nursing school term; she was not only planning a wedding, but sewing her wedding dress as well. Connie was involved in Youth for Christ, selling Tupperware, Christian Women’s Club, had a tremendous garden, ran a farm, was a leader in 4H, taught Sunday School, was a sponsor of the youth program, helped with special projects for youth ministries like Camp Barakel and Young Life, was on the board of the Simmental Association, and even held back a full grown cow that was trying to steal the show away from a soloist in the Church’s Christmas Cantata. Connie was always standing by her husband’s side in the business they started and she jumped in with both feet to help make things a tremendous success.
Connie had the gift of hospitality down! When dear missionary friends needed a place to stay they knew they could drop in unannounced…at ANY HOUR and have a bed to sleep in. Before everyone was settled, Connie would immediately be in the kitchen with a hot, homemade blueberry cobbler coming out of the oven. Their home and their farm was their ministry to others. Connie was the one that got everything organized and set up in advance and made it look effortless. We want to see the extent that her hospitality legacy has reached…Please post a favorite memory at the Reeser’s Farm, whether a hayride, picnic, barn party, pool party, overnight party…did we say hayride…and tell us where You are now. Our guess is that she has touched the lives of thousands across the country… Help us Celebrate a life well lived of Connie Reeser. And we will print them out and post them on a board and watch it grow! In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to Youth for Christ ministries in memory of Connie Reeser.
