Deano Clyde Carreri

HOLT, MI

Deano C. Carreri, husband of Caroline (Swanson) was born on January 16, 1934 in Robertsdale, Pennsylvania, and passed away March 7, 2016.

He was the son of John and Ascenza (Altobelli) Corrieri. Deano proudly served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He lived most of his life in the Dearborn area with his wife of 54 years, Caroline. They then moved to the mid-Michigan area after their retirements from the Dearborn Public School System, where Deano was employed in the Transportation Department and later a mason in the skilled trades department for 34 1/2 years.

Deano and Caroline had 3 children, Dianne Carreri and (Gordon) Thomson of Seattle, WA, Michael (Lori) Carreri of Pleasant Lake, MI, Christopher (Dawn) Carreri of Milford, MI; 4 grandchildren, Ruben Carreri, Elliot Thomson, Rachel Carreri and Angela Carreri. Deano was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Caroline; brother, Leo and sisters, Devina and Aida. Deano and Caroline were members of the First United Methodist Church in Mason, MI. Deano was an accomplished athlete; he loved to play baseball, hockey, pool and bowling.

A memorial service will held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the Mason First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Ash St., Mason, MI. with Rev. Dwayne Bagley officiating.
