Dennis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Laura O’Berry; daughters, Diana O’Berry and Lindsay (Mike) Woods; grandchildren, Alexa Bowden and Aven Woods; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Dennis grew up in Dansville, Michigan, where he wrestled for his school team before becoming a Golden Gloves boxer in Lansing. He spent his career as a skilled plumber and pipefitter with UA Local 333.
A true outdoorsman, Dennis loved hunting, fishing, shooting, and tending to his orchard. He was happiest working with his hands and had a gift for fixing, building, and figuring out anything. A true jack of all trades. He also had a creative side and enjoyed making intricate origami creations from dollar bills.
Dennis will be remembered for his generous spirit, many talents, love of the outdoors, and the countless memories he shared with those he loved. His family will forever miss his stories, his humor, and his warrior spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. O’Berry Jr. and Mary O’Berry (Hall); and his brothers, Ronald J. O’Berry and Michael D. O’Berry.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Dennis’s memory to the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
