Devon Lee Upton

Devon Lee (Clark) Upton, age 63 of Holt formally of Leslie and Mason, Michigan passed away with her family by her side on May 17, 2025. She was born on August 28, 1961, to Aurthur Jay Clark and Laura Lee Sweezy. Devon graduated from Mason High School and did some college at LCC. After school she went on to work as a mail carrier and a teller at Dart Bank. After retiring from the bank, she worked as a cashier at Family Farm and Home and being a volunteer caregiver at Seniors Helping Seniors.

She loved baking pies and cakes for her family as well as taking photos. She loved lighthouses, traveling up North, and to Kentucky, but her favorite was going to Disney for the first time and meeting Mickey Mouse.

Preceded in death by her mother, Laura Clark (Sweezy); father, Authur Clark, sister, Arlene Thompson (Clark), and husband, Ronald Upton.

Survived by her sister, Pearl Dornbos; brother, Arthur Clark (Nina); daughter, Cassandra Upton (Tyler); stepchildren, James Upton, Sandra Colyer; grandchildren, James Carrender, Dasia Carrender, and soon to be grandson, numerous nieces, nephews,great nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Devon will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Mason Chapel, 621 S. Jefferson St. Mason, Michigan 48854. Funeral Services will on Friday, May 23 at 11:00 at the funeral home; with the family receiving friends 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
