Don & I met in high school. The things I remember most were the music he supplied to a lot of parties including my own. He would play his collection of records, which I still like the songs today. We worked together one summer installing seamless rain gutters. He was fearless as we walked to the edge of roofs to secure the rain gutter, hitting the nails with a sideways hammer so as to never miss. He would even hang his head fearlessly over the edge to look down the eave to see if it was perfect. Although next summer he moved on to building grain silos, it was fun working with him. He sold me the hubcaps off his Buick Riviera and I had them on my Chevy pickup forever until I sold it in 2010, always reminded me of him. We had a good time being each others wingman. I’m sure he has wings now, as he was one of the good ones.

Donny Bedes, I will always remember being a freshmen football player, and he and another guy pushed me out into the hallway in my underwear. In those days, that was normal hazing for a freshman, I learned not to walk around the locker in underwear. ( I think is was scott cordano?)
The cheerleaders were all in the hallway as well, and I had to run around to back door of locker room. He was just laughing his head off. Ran into him year or two ago at Pub in Mason, told him about that story and he just cracked up. Always a good time

Spent a lot of time hanging out at the Bedes pad growing up. Donnie and I got in a lot of trouble together running around the neighborhood on Eifert Road - always makes me laugh when I think about it. Didn't see each other much in recent years, but when we did cross paths, we always talked about the "old days" and had some good laughs together - some stories only we knew about.

Joe, Mary, Steve, and family - I'm thinking about you!

I loved watching Donny play football, way back when. He was ferocious on the field and probably why I chose golf instead. ;). He was always kind towards me and I have many fond memories of the laughter we shared. And that mischievous smile.....
May God's love surround you and comfort those who love you.

When I think of Donny, I think of him laughing and smiling. He had a mischievous laugh and a great toothy grin that lit up the room.

Don, the memories of you fishing at my folks, helping them with repairs, laughing with my dad...oh, how you two related and bonded with each other, even though he was old enough to be your dad. Dad's stroke took his speech years ago, but you knew what he was thinking and said it for him!
I think you two would have been best friends if you had been the same age, and Lord help us if you had been in high school together! Fishing and hunting, that would have been first on your list!
When mom passed and I needed the door fixed, I didn't know who else to call, and you came and did what needed to be done and wouldn't let me pay you. And when we had to part with their house and had a garage sale, you asked if you could have dad's hat and shirt because that's what you remembered him wearing on the tractor. Sweet memories, Don! All good memories! You were there when you were needed and even when you weren't! To Don's family, I virtually hug you and wish I had words of comfort, but there are none. Don will be missed!
