Donald Lockwood, age 83, died August 12, 2014. He was born September 25, 1930 in Big Beaver, MI to Alton J. and Leann A. (Volkening) Lockwood. Don was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local Union 1004. He liked to build furniture, trains, trucks, and cabinets. He was a member of the All Color Antique Tractor Club ; Mason VFW Post 7309; and First Presbyterian Church in Mason. Don also enjoyed driving his Ford Huckster.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Marie Lockwood; 2 sons, Michael Lockwood and Larry Lockwood.

Surviving are 2 sons, Dennis (Gayle) Lockwood, and Steve (Lisa) Lockwood; 4 grandchildren, Jason (Cheryl) Lockwood, Chad (Kira) Lockwood, Carrie (Steven) Fusse, Sarah Lockwood; 7 great-grandchildren; special couple, Bobette and Bill Hostein; dear friends, Ernie Lutz, Terry Dart, and Ed Groesser.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Mason, 131 E. Maple Street, Mason. The family will received friends at the church Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Mason or Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2605 S. Cochran Road, Charlotte, MI 48813.
