He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Tracy Lynn Prentler and Deborah Lee Bull; brothers ,Joseph Prentler and Paul Prentler. Surviving are his spouse of 63 years Arlene Prentler; daughter, Stacey (Maxell) Newberry; sons, Mark (Renae) Prentler, Steven (Denise) Prentler, Michael Prentler; and sister, Monica (Robert) Bair. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Eugene worked for 55 years for ADT. He was a proud member of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was often found in the basement warming up by a fire or heater and rocking in his chair. He enjoyed collecting tools and sorting through nuts and bolts. He was fond of a visit to an air museum or air show and enjoyed flying radio control aircraft.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A mass in his honor will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church at a later date.
