Gerald Joseph Fromm (Jerry) took his last breath, with his wife and son by his side, on the late afternoon of June 16, 2022. Jerry lived a simple life focused on being a loving husband to his wife Ana of 60 years, dad to his only son Mark and grandpa to Steven, Ian, Hannah and grand puppy Mia. He was always willing and ready to help his family and neighbors. Jerry also loved his country and served in the United States Army. Jerry worked as a roofer and a warehouse shipper for Baxter International.
Jerry loved doing projects around the house and making sure everything was in working order. He even made sure the family car was always clean and well maintained. If the car was driven in the rain, he made sure to pull it into the garage and wipe it down. It was the simple things like this that made him so special. Jerry loved to garden with his wife Ana. Together they created some of the most beautiful arrangements of flowers and plants that everyone admired. He took care of those gardens daily with a watering routine like no other. Jerry had many hobbies. One of his most memorable hobbies was making birdhouses that he hung around the yard and gave away as gifts. Another thing he loved to do was sit on the couch with his wife and watch Detroit Tigers Baseball. It didn’t matter whether they were winning or losing he just loved watching them. Jerry had a special green baseball cap that had the Detroit Tigers ‘D’ and MSU Spartans Logo on it. He always said that when he wore the hat that the Tigers would win. It was his special hat that he cherished. There was one other thing that Jerry absolutely loved and that was carrying a bag of treats in his pocket for his grand puppy Mia, who he really spoiled. Every time Mia came over to visit, she immediately ran to grandpa because she knew he had those treats in his pocket. They had a very special bond and Mia is going to miss him deeply.
Survived by his wife Anita(Ana) Fromm, his son Mark Fromm (Tracey), his grandchildren Steven Fromm, Ian Osborne (Darius), Hannah Fromm, his siblings Charles Fromm (Ann Marie), Daniel Fromm (Jackie) and Thomas Fromm (Maryann). He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Lucy Fromm, his siblings Albert Fromm, Earl Fromm, John Fromm and Patricia Teasdale.
