If you didn’t have the opportunity to become well acquainted with this man during his lifetime, you indeed missed out on a great blessing. He was surely one person who was very different from the ordinary. He had many loves in his life:
• He loved his Lord and enjoyed his ever-closer walk with him over the years. He is at peace with him now.
• He loved his parents, Harold and Mamie Kinder, who preceded him in death, with true devotion. He kept their memory alive and honored them through stories he passed along to his children.
• He loved his siblings very much. He is survived by his sisters Linda Kinder and Jeanne Grylls. He is preceded by his brother, Gary Kinder, with whom he shared a special love and friendship that will last throughout eternity.
• Glen was a loving and devoted husband who held his wife in the highest regard. As high school sweethearts, he was married to Karen D. Kinder for over 48 years. They share a love between them that cannot be described fully with words, but will be evident through the beauty he created for her in their home and the traits he passed along. Their marriage was blessed with two wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren, each of whom will carry forth his legacy in their own special way.
• He was truly a family man and put his fullest effort into creating a life that his family could enjoy for generations. As a Dad, he was kind, deeply caring, and highly intentional in conveying his love and confidence toward their future. He was level-headed, incredibly wise, patient in his own way, and always available for deep discussions on life. He is survived by his children, Brian D. Kinder of Brighton, and Renee D. Craig of Milford.
• Glen loved and touched many lives. You can truly say of him that he loved and cared for his fellow man. His far-reaching impacts will go on far beyond his years, as well as inspire many of those whose lives he touched to carry his kindness forward. May his deeply generous and kind spirit live on.
• Sooner Born and Sooner Bred, Glen loved his alma mater, the University of Oklahoma as well as all things baseball.
He leaves behind his wife, two children, four wonderful grandchildren, his sisters, and his children in love, Dennis Craig and Natalie Kinder. He is greatly missed, but Heaven has welcomed him home. The Angels rejoice!
Adapted from Glen’s father, Harold Kinder’s obituary, written by his mother Mamie Kinder, as we know he would be honored by this. Lovingly adapted by his children, Renee Craig and Brian Kinder.
